Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Information Architect and Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our information architecture framework to ensure efficient data management and accessibility across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement information architecture strategies that align with the organization's objectives and business requirements.
  • Define data models, taxonomies, and metadata frameworks to organize and structure information effectively.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their information needs and translate them into actionable architectural designs.
  • Establish data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Design and implement data management processes for data acquisition, storage, transformation, and retrieval.
  • Monitor data quality and implement corrective measures as needed to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
  • Work closely with IT teams to integrate information architecture solutions with existing systems and applications.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing through the use of advanced technologies and methodologies.
  • Conduct performance analysis and tuning to enhance the efficiency and scalability of information systems.
  • Lead Informatica upgrades from version 10.4.1 to 10.5.3, including Informatica OS version upgrade from RHEL 7.9 to RHEL 9.x.
  • Coordinate Informatica Client Server upgrade from 12c to either 19c or 21c.
  • Plan and execute Informatica DB OS upgrade (TBD) from AIX 7.2 to 7.3 across 21 servers.
  • Manage Informatica DB Server upgrade across 4 environments, totaling 21 servers, including Dev (2 servers), Test (2 servers), QA (8 servers), and Prod (8 servers with + Break/Fix 1 server).
  • Update and create documentation for Informatica upgrades and related processes.
  • Request examples from other upgrades with similar applications to ensure best practices.
  • Coordinate with application teams for notification and integration with Informatica upgrades, particularly for Prod environments.
  • Develop and execute test plans for Informatica upgrades, including troubleshooting any issues.
  • Perform performance testing before and after upgrades, benchmarking using Informatica monitoring tools for SQL server, SFDC, XML, and SAP integrations.
  • Troubleshoot any performance or integration issues post-upgrade.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of data modeling principles, metadata management, and information retrieval techniques.
  • Proficiency in Informatica suite, particularly version 10.4.1 to 10.5.3, Informatica OS, and Client Server versions (12c to 19c or 21c).
  • Experience with Informatica DB OS upgrades, preferably on AIX platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Experience in documentation, testing, and validation of information architecture solutions.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Informatica Certified Professional) are desirable but not required.
